Anton Chekhov returns from Moscow to his family home in Yalta in 1901, to be taken care of by his sister Maria. He's terminally ill with tuberculosis at the age of 42, and desperate to finish his last play, the classic "Cherry Orchard." The two-character drama revolves around his struggle with his sister as they take their final shots at finding the meaning of their lives -- together, and as separate individuals. The two actors, Gillian Brashear and Ron Bottitta, both give performances which will are rarely seen even on the New York stage.
