In this episode, Lidia shares recipes from both of these areas, Braised Veal Shank, Olive Oil Mashed Potatoes and Peas with Bacon. She also visits with Maria Merante, a wonderful Italian American woman who left her mark in Pittsburgh.

She then makes a Cappuccino Cake which she actually discovered in New Orleans - another locale with a very large Sicilian population.
