Mon 5/06: very brief KQED DT9 OTA outage
(DT9.1, 9.2, 9.3) This morning we had a very brief outage of our over the air (OTA) coverage for KQED 9.1/9.2/9.3, which lasted apx 4 minutes. Mon 4/22: KQEH OTA signal back on air
(DT54.1 through DT54.5) The Over the Air (OTA) signal from our KQEH transmitter on Monument Peak was restored at apx 6:35pm this evening. Most tuners should automatically find the signal, however some OTA viewers may need to do a rescan to restore reception.

Mon 4/22: KQEH OTA planned overnight outage extended
Unexpected technical problems have been discovered at the KQEH transmitter site during planned maintenance overnight. KQED crews have identified the problem and are working to correct it as soon as possible. Please check back to this blog for status updates. Service to Comcast and other providers are uninterrupted.

This catchy comedy drama stars Martin Clunes as Martin Ellingham, whose truculence and tactless manner causes mayhem in a small Cornish community. The series details the trials and tribulations of the brash Ellingham, once a celebrated London surgeon who left his job after developing a phobia to blood. After retraining as a general practitioner, he gets a job in the beautiful but sleepy village of Portwenn, replacing their deceased local doctor-but his abrasive personality doesn't exactly mesh with the pace of life in Cornwall.

Life in the beautiful Cornish village of Portwenn has become ever more infuriating for Dr. Martin Ellingham since the heart-wrenching decision to call off his marriage to local headmistress Louisa. Louisa has left, and Martin has begun to question what keeps him in Cornwall. It's certainly not his relentlessly annoying patients. On a visit to the hospital, Martin is stunned to meet Edith, his old girlfriend from medical school days who is now a top-ranking doctor with a flourishing private practice. Martin learns there is a prestigious surgeon's job coming free in London that is perfect for him if he can overcome his blood phobia. But all Martin's thoughts of the future are turned upside-down when Louisa unexpectedly returns to Portwenn. She wants nothing to do with Martin, but she has big news of her own - she's pregnant.

As the ambulance takes the vicar to hospital, Martin is left with the dilemma of finding a replacement vicar with just three hours to go to the wedding. With less than an hour to go to the ceremony, pregnant bridesmaid Isobel goes into labor. Martin is summoned by Louisa, and on a windswept hill top above Portwenn he delivers a healthy baby boy. Now it's a race against time for Martin and Louisa to get to the church on time....

As Martin leaves Louisa's house, he realizes he could lose her forever. He pauses on the doorstep and asks her to marry him.
