Young Lincoln Previous Broadcasts

KQED 9: Thu, Dec 27, 2007 -- 12:30 PM

This documentary examines how the joys and trials of Abraham Lincoln's boyhood years formed his personality, shaped his early political notions and molded his character. It features several notable historians who share their insight on this little-known chapter in Lincoln's life and legacy, and focuses on Lincoln's close bonds with his family, and the numerous personal tragedies that he was forced to endure during his formative years. His childhood experiences would shaped his attitudes, molded his character and cast a dark shadow of depression that would remain deeply ingrained in him throughout his life.
