In each episode, one vibrant young traveler ventures off the beaten path to soak up the local culture, sample the cuisine and revel in breathtaking vistas. In keeping with their aim of "living as the locals do," charismatic hosts Ian Wright, Justine Shapiro, Zay Harding, Megan McCormick and others explore everything from big-city landmarks to exotic sights in remote villages.

Zay Harding starts his journey in Austin, where he explores everything from rattlesnake hotdogs to bingo with chickens. He then heads south to San Antonio for a visit to the Alamo. Following a night in the most haunted hotel in Texas, Zay travels to the border city of El Paso. After meeting the locals, he treks into the surrounding desert to travel along the old Butterfield trail. Traveling in a 1960s Mustang, Zay embarks on a road trip along Route 66 where he takes in the stunning Palo Duro Canyon, competes in Amarillo's steak-eating challenge and concludes his trip in Glenrio, the mysterious ghost town that borders New Mexico.

Our Trekkers visit the last strongholds of many rare and sometimes endangered species of primates. Justine Shapiro heads to Thailand in search of the White-Handed Gibbon. Holly Morris, Ian Wright and Megan McCormick get up close and personal with the orangutan in Borneo and Sumatra, the chimpanzee in Tanzania and Zambia and the Mountain Gorilla in the remote mountains of Uganda. Ian glimpses the elusive Golden Bamboo Lemur on Madagascar, Eils Nevitt discovers the Black-Crowned Dwarf Marmoset - at six inches high, the world's second-smallest monkey - in the Amazon jungle and Zay Harding encounters two enormous and extremely rare apes in Africa: the Drill in Cameroon and the Mandrill, known as the world's largest monkey, in Gabon.

Brianna journeys through the Brandywine Valley, which stretches through Delaware and Pennsylvania, on her way to Philadelphia for a taste of the famous cheesesteaks and a look at the Art Museum. She continues west through Amish country, takes in the new Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville and checks out the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. Brianna makes her way to Virginia, where she encounters a replica of Stonehenge made entirely from Styrofoam and concludes her trip at Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson.
