Express what it means to be your family with a brilliant banner.
Show your family pride by creating a flag that illustrates who you are. Symbolic representation is a difficult concept for preschoolers to grasp. To help them, begin by discussing your country's flag. What do the colors and shapes represent? Look through books to find pictures of different flags to show as examples. Ask children what symbols they would use to describe their family. Start by listing activities you like to do together, such as hiking, then think of something to represent it, such as trees or a mountain.
