Off Mike with Michael Krasny
On Wednesday, November 14
from 6 - 8pm, Signal Society, Producer's Circle and Legacy Society
members are invited to join our own Michael Krasny, host of KQED
Public Radio's Forum,
to celebrate the release of his new book Off Mike: A Memoir of
Talk Radio and Literary Life. The tables will be turned when
Mr. Krasny is the one answering questions for part of the evening.

New Season Preview
Signal Society, Producer's Circle and Legacy Society members enjoyed a special
preview of the upcoming season on Tuesday, September 18, 2007. The evening included
sneak peeks of upcoming programs on Channel 9, 88.5 FM and KQED.org.

A Screening with Ken
Burns
On Wednesday, February 28, 2007, KQED Signal Society members attended a
special evening with the legendary filmmaker Ken Burns at Cowell Theater,
Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Guests enjoyed excerpts from Mr. Burns's
anticipated project, The
War, exploring America's experience in the Second World War through
the fortunes of so-called ordinary men and women, and a discussion with
the filmmaker and producer. The War airs on PBS stations
this fall.

World-renowned Chef Jacques Pépin
Signal Society members were invited to a reception
with Jacques Pépin
on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at
the California Culinary Academy at 350 Rhode
Island in San Francisco. They heard Mr. Pépin discuss
his upcoming KQED series The Complete Pépin and
met the world-renowned chef.

On Thursday, April 20, 2006,
members of Signal Society, Producer's Circle
and Legacy Society were invited to join Neal
Conan and Ira Flatow, hosts of Talk
of the Nation and Talk
of the Nation: Science Friday, for a reception and conversation
at the KQED Broadcast Center. Talk of
the Nation promotes a
national dialogue
on important political and cultural issues
in the news. It can be heard on 88.5 FM
weekdays from 11am - 1pm.
