at UC Santa Barbara. With a love for telling stories, asking questions and challenging
authority, she set off for her first job as a reporter for WUSF-FM in Tampa, Florida. After
three years of news reporting and a brief stint miscast as an opera reporter, she returned
to California to work as a reporter for KLON-FM in Long Beach, KNX-AM, the Los Angeles based
CBS radio affiliate and the Orange County Television News Channel in Santa Ana. Andrea also
served as producer and program director for KPFA radio in Berkeley.
Andrea has been at KQED Radio for more than five years, working first as a producer for the
daily call-in show, Forum, and then
as the senior producer for The California Report. She
currently produces Health Dialogues
and works on other special projects. Andrea earned a B.A. in Broadcasting and Political Science from
CSU Long Beach and an M.A. in Telecommunications Management from Ohio University.
