For example, literally pair up the humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) with the delta smelt (Hypomesus transpacificus) as you discuss above. Not sure who the sponsoring org/agency would be , but it could operate along the lines of a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Town_twinning" rel="nofollow">sister cities</a> program. Does anyone know of anything like this in place already? Who would be a good steward of such a program?
