KQED Public Radio's "Health Dialogues" September Program Looks at Latest in Diagnosis and Treatment for Depression

WHAT:
Health Dialogues, a special monthly report airing as part of KQED's statewide news program The California Report and hosted by Scott Shafer, engages listeners in an on-going discussion of California health care issues that are crucial to the state's under-served people.

September topic: Clinical depression
Clinical Depression has become one of the leading causes of disability in the U.S. But shame and stigma still get in the way of detecting mental illness. On the September Health Dialogues we'll look at the latest in diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder.
