Testing Lead in Toys
Environmental health advocates tested hundreds of popular children's toys and found 17 percent contained amounts of lead that should prompt a recall under federal law. A consortium of leading environmental health groups are releasing the details of the test today. Oanh Ha has more.   more

Victory Gardens
One of the latest buzzwords on the Bay Area food scene is locavore, meaning a person who makes a point to eat foods grown locally in an effort to spare the environment and support nearby farms. One San Francisco artist is taking the concept a step further. She's reviving the World War II-era tradition of backyard victory gardens. Erika Kelly reports.  more
