Trash Hot Spots
This Saturday thousands of Bay Area residents are expected to don work gloves, and fan out along the region's creeks and marshes for the 22nd annual Coastal Cleanup Day. Last year the volunteer effort netted 200,000 pounds of garbage around San Francisco Bay alone. This week, as Elaine Korry reports, the environmental group Save the Bay published its list of the 10 most polluted waterways in the region.  more

The Golden Gate Bridge is known around the world for two things: it's an engineering marvel, and it features breath-taking views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. Corporations would likely jump at the chance of attaching their name to such an icon.
