Figuring out how long you're going to live is an inexact science. But researchers at UCSF say they've come up with a list of 12 questions designed to help doctors determine whether a patient is likely to survive the next 10 years.

With so many factors that go into longevity, how did researchers manage to boil it down to just a dozen questions?
