State's Fastest-Growing Population, Asian-Americans' Challenges Harder to See

Latinos may be on the verge of becoming California's largest ethnic group, but they're no longer the state's fastest-growing population.

Census data show that distinction now belongs to Asian-Americans. But, as a new report points out,  understanding what the challenges are for that group is particularly complicated, considering the vast cultural and linguistic diversity that lies underneath the label "Asian-American."

Part of the report focuses on housing. Host Stephanie Martin talks with Omar Calimbas, a housing rights attorney with the San Francisco-based Asian Law Caucus, which released the report Monday in conjunction with the Asian Pacific American Legal Center.
