In sports, the 49ers' playoff run will continue this Sunday against the Falcons in Atlanta, for the NFC Championship.  

San Francisco beat the Packers on Saturday 45-31.

Sports journalist Rick Tittle expects that victory to silence concerns about whether Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick is ready for the postseason.

"Kaepernick rushed for more yards than any quarterback had rushed in NFL history, regardless of whether a regular season or playoff game," says Tittle.  "But last year at this hurdle the Niners fell short, and they'll look for redemption on Sunday at Atlanta."

In professional basketball, the Warriors lost to the Denver Nuggets, 116-105.  

The Kings host the Cavaliers tonight.

In college hoops, the Stanford women almost never lose at home, but Cal beat them there yesterday, 67-55. It was the first Pac-12 conference game Stanford's lost in four years.
