Gov. Projects Budget Surplus
Governor Jerry Brown says tough spending cuts combined with new voter-approved taxes should help the state end next year with a budget surplus. Brown has proposed a $97.6 billion general fund budget for the 2013-14 fiscal year that wipes out years of deficits -- and he wants to send an additional $2.7 million of the projected budget surplus to K-12 education.
Host Stephanie Martin discusses the details with Anthony York, who covers Sacramento for the Los Angeles Times.
