For Food Banks, No End to Season of Need

The season of giving has come to a close, ushering in a season of challenges for local food banks trying to keep their pantries full as the number of people at risk of hunger continues to grow.

Local offices, schools and individuals do a noble job of giving to food banks during the holiday season, and many places have yearly competitions to see how much food they can give. How successful were the 2012 holiday drives? And how far do these holiday drives really go to help the people they serve?

Host Stephanie Martin talks with Bob Brenneman, director of development for the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks.
