Occupy Oakland Plans Anniversary Protest
Occupy Oakland is planning a protest march against police violence for Thursday, the anniversary of a police crackdown that resulted in injuries to demonstrators and findings of police misconduct. It was one year ago when Oakland police moved in to dismantle the tent city that occupiers set up in front of City Hall in Frank Ogawa Plaza.
Late the same day, police and sheriff's deputies from around the Bay Area used flash-bang grenades and tear gas to prevent Occupy members from returning to the plaza.
Host Cy Musiker talks with Scott Johnson, a reporter and columnist at the Oakland Tribune who covered the Occupy protests.
