San Francisco Playhouse Artistic Director Bill English.

One of the Bay Area's edgiest and most successful theaters is celebrating its tenth anniversary and moving to a new home. San Francisco Playhouse is a family affair of sorts, led by Bill English and wife Susi Damilano and sometimes featuring their daughter Lauren.

They're taking over the former Lorraine Hansberry Theatre near Union Square, going from a 100-seat house to one double the size.

KQED's Cy Musiker spoke with Bill English of the San Francisco Playhouse.
