Woody Allen Wraps After Month-Long San Francisco Shoot

Filmmaker Woody Allen is heading back to New York now that he's finished nearly a month of shooting in San Francisco for his newest film.

It stars Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin, and Peter Saarsgaard.

The film also features a number of local actors, including Joy Carlin. She's well known on Bay Area stages as a performer and director. "I adore Woody Allen's films," Carlin said. "And in my dreams I've always wanted to be in a Woody Allen film."

Carlin shot a scene with Blanchett, but said of the famous director, "(Woody Allen) said nothing to me. Absolutely nothing. He seemed shy with other people on the set."

After the "Woody Allen's Summer Project.," Carlin said she'll be narrating a documentary film.
