Pirates and Failed States
In a standoff with Somali pirates this weekend, snipers killed three pirates and rescued Captain Richard Phillips. Unfortunately there is no silver bullet to fix the crumbling state of Somalia or the increasing threat of piracy. We discuss the political situation in Somalia, and how failed states can foster international crime.
