San Francisco's School Assignment System
Last week, thousands of San Francisco families got the results of a lottery telling them which public school their children
could attend in the fall. For some, the results brought relief. Others are wondering whether to try again for a school they
really want, or to leave the district altogether. We talk with parents and district officials about the school assignment
lottery.
