The Recession and California's Wine Industry
The California wine industry is proving remarkably robust despite the recession. Wine sales dipped in the last quarter of 2008, but the industry still grew two percent last year, and some analysts think it will do better in the year ahead. We visit the 18th annual Zinfandel Festival at Fort Mason in San Francisco to find out how wine drinkers and vintners are coping with the down economy.
