Plan to Shrink the Deficit would Cut Education Funding
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's plan to close the state's budget deficit would cut $6 billion out of education funding for
students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The governor would allow school districts to shorten the school year by five
days, and increase class sizes. We look at the pros and cons of the plan.
