Nature Deficit Disorder
A common way to spend the day after Thanksgiving is inside a shopping mall or a movie theatre. But, many kids are avoiding
the outdoors the rest of the year too. Many believe this could be the first generation of "indoor children," largely disconnected
from nature. Concerns about long-term consequences on emotional well-being, physical health and learning abilities have spawned
a national movement to "leave no child inside." Gabriela Quiras reports.
