To the Moon
To the Moon -- Nasa Ames has announced that the agency will lead an effort to send humans back to the moon with the goal of building an outpost there. The new Lunar Science Institute would help identify astronomical, lunar and earth science-based investigations -- on global warming, for example -- that could be performed from the moon. While the effort is likely to bring a handful of new jobs to the Bay Area, some critics question the space agency's priorities.
