Geothermal Geysers
Geothermal Geysers -- The program looks at the viability of geothermal energy as a sustainable energy source. Calpine and
the city of Santa Rosa are now expanding the Geysers Recharge Project, a recycled water-to-electricity program. The project
takes sewage water from the city of Santa Rosa and Lake County to recharge the water pits in order to generate steam instead
of allowing the sewage to discharge into the rivers. The program explores how geothermal energy works, and whether it can
sustain itself as a long-term energy source.
