A few weeks ago, the U.S. filed an intellectual property complaint with the World Trade Organization against the government of China. The matter involves billions of dollars, and tension between the two countries is likely to increase because of it. But can governments really stop the manufacturing of fake DVDs and knock-off designer handbags? And for the average person, is "fake and cheap" just as good?
