In the Philippines, where English is widely spoken, the call center business has expanded rapidly in the last five years. In 2001, the number of people employed in call centers there was less than 4,000. Today it's more than 110,000. That's a positive trend in a troubled economy. For young Filipinos, a call center job means a good salary but unsocial hours, because they typically work late at night, which is daytime in the United States. Reporters: Simon Montlake
