Hearing on Proposed Changes to Air Quality Monitoring
Federal environmental regulators heard from hundreds of physicians, residents and public health groups during an all-day hearing
Wednesday in San Francisco on air quality standards. The Bush administration is proposing to stop monitoring for tiny particles
of air pollution, known as coarse particulates, in rural towns and at farms and mining operations.
