Asian Students Think Twice About Coming to U.S.
In the last two years, almost 30 intensive English programs for foreign students around the country have closed, mostly due to declining enrollment. Economic downturns abroad, fear of terrorist attacks in the U.S., and SARS have all hurt enrollment. Students wishing to come to the U.S. are also faced with strict new visa requirements.
