The One About Invisible Friends and a Not So Mould(y) Oldy

Cy Musiker and David Wiegand scout the Bay Area for things to do this coming weekend and turn up invisible men, a tribute to good vibes and much more!

Los Amigos Invisibles

Politicians expropriating songs without permission isn't just something that American bands have to deal with. Just ask Los Amigos Invisibles, who accused Hugo Chavez of borrowing a song of theirs to criticize a political rival. Blending funk, disco, jazz and soul, Los Amigos Invisibles defy musical labels. All you need to know is this Venezuelan band is bringing the party to the Bay Area this weekend. Los Amigos Invisibles play the New Parish in Oakland this Friday, and they're on the main stage at the cycling circus "Tour de Fat" tomorrow afternoon in Golden Gate Park. For tickets and more information, visit thenewparish.com.

The Other Place
