KQED's 24-Hour Live Stream of SFMOMA's Future Countdown Live

June 1 & 2, 2013

As part of a festive four-day celebration to kick off SFMOMA's dramatic expansion project, KQED offered a live video stream of Future Countdown Live, a nonstop, 24-hour art marathon featuring 48 artists, filmmakers, musicians, performers, and writers on the stage. The video archive of the event is below.

KQED thanks SFMOMA for this extraordinary opportunity as well as the talented performers, technicians, and helpers who made the night possible.

Farewell Processional

During Future Countdown Live, each participant performed a 20-minute set, offering visitors a robust and lively portrait of the Bay Area creative community. Oakland arts collective Wonderment Consortium (Packard Jennings, Steuart Pittman, and Scott Vermeire), comedian Marga Gomez, comedian George Chen, and drag superstar Peaches Christ will each host a six-hour set of performances.

On Sunday at 9am KQED's Cy Musiker and the San Francisco Chronicle's David Wiegand hosted a special The Do List featuring a roundup of some of the bigger summer events.

Other KQED collaborations with SFMOMA included:
- KQED and The Kitchen Sisters presented The Making Of ... Live at SFMOMA, on Thursday and Friday, May 30 and 31 and Saturday, June 1.
- Forum with host Michael Krasny was broadcast live from SFMOMA on Tuesday, May 28. Listen to the conversation about the festivities and the museum's plans over the next three years.
