In March 2009, the Mills College Art Museum opened Young Americans, an exhibition featuring recent MFA graduates Andrew Witrak, Annie Voght, Brian Caraway, Gina Tuzzi, Esther Traugot, Joseph Berryhill, Kate Pszotka, Leigh Merrill, Modesto Covarrubias, and Steuart Pittman. Most of the artists work in multiple mediums, combining sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, crochet, and/or digital technology to create cohesive bodies of work.
