It's the holidays and with that comes shopping. We thought it might be helpful to suggest places where you could get some holiday shopping in (of locally made gifts) as well as satisfy your art fix. So, in December 2006, Gallery Crawl visited art galleries that do double duty as stores in the boutique-filled Mission District: Adobe Bookshop and Needles and Pens.

Adobe Bookshop exhibits a group show called Where we have been Where we are and Where we are going (December 1-30, 2006) surveying the past, present, and future of Adobe Bookshop's Backroom Gallery.

Needles and Pens

From December 2, 2006 through January 2007, Needles and Pens presents a solo show by Monica Canilao, whose collages and sculptures speaks to the imprint people leave behind them.
