Gallery Crawl: a monthly video of the coolest art in northern california's hottest galleries

In May 2008, Gallery Crawl checked out the MFA exhibition at CCA, California College of the Arts. Talk about hitting the jackpot! The show was amazing; we could easily have filled several episodes with what we discovered at the school's San Francisco campus. Greedy bastards, we decided to interview as many of the graduates as we could, capturing their auspicious debut into the San Francisco art world -- and beyond.

In April 2008, Gallery Crawl takes in The Art of Diorama at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek. The exhibition presents twenty-three artists and as many worlds, ranging from no bigger than a bread box to room-sized and features artists Davis + Davis, Jeremy Mora and Misako Inaoka.

In March 2008, Gallery Crawl visits San Francisco's Mission District to see Stand Still Like the Hummingbird, Paul Wackers's solo show at the Eleanor Harwood Gallery and Starting with Blade, a collaborative exhibition starting with local artist Michelle Blade, at Triple Base gallery.

In February 2008, Gallery Crawl drops into the Neither Here Nor There show at Johannson Projects and checks out the Invisible Cities exhibition at Mercury 20, an artist-run gallery that's just a few blocks away in downtown Oakland.view full episode

In January 2008, Gallery Crawl checked out the 20th anniversary group show, In the Fullness of Time, a survey of the Luggage Store's three locations on Market Street and in the Tenderloin in San Francisco.

Gallery Crawl visits Odyssey and East of Odyssey, two islands devoted to the presentation of art, installation and performance in the virtual world, Second Life. In Second Life, users create alternate selves or "avatars," which can socialize, buy and sell goods, purchase land, design and build structures and create various forms of art. In October 2007, Gallery Crawl interviewed the avatar Beavis Palowakski, one of the folks responsible for the creation and curation of the Odyssey art spaces.

Celebrate the second anniversary of Gallery Crawl by taking to the streets of San Francisco with artist Jeannene Przyblyski. After two years of shooting exhibitions in various Bay Area galleries, Gallery Crawl goes outdoors to highlight art that just cannot be contained. From large public sculptures to the smallest sticker, art can be found in just about every nook and cranny of the city.

In November 2005, Gallery Crawl scouted out a selection of San Francisco's Mission District, visiting Creativity Explored, Intersection for the Arts and Blue Room Gallery.
