Laotian Americans Find Bliss in Iowa Truck Shop

As we reported last week, the newest census figures show that Asian Americans are no longer only to be found in big cities along the coasts -- there's an increasing number of them moving to small towns and rural areas. But the small town of Douds, Iowa has been familiar with its Asian minority for the last 27 years. The Chounlamany family settled there in 1980, and their two sons have made a name for themselves nationwide -- as mini-truck customizers.
