Suicide Among Asian American Women

Suicide is the third-leading cause of death for Asian-American women between 25 and 34 years old, behind cancer and accidents. Young Asian-American women are more likely to commit suicide than white, Latina or African-American women. Asian-American teens are also more at risk than their counterparts. The challenges of immigration and assimilation often play a large role.
