Organic Growers Bet on China's Growing Middle Class
Organic food is nothing new in the U.S., but it'ss virtually unheard of in China. Most of the country's 1.3 billion people can't afford the higher prices. But with a rapidly growing middle class and an even more rapidly ailing environment, some Chinese are betting that now is the time to introduce the much-touted environmental and health benefits of organic food to China.
