Book Review: Hwang Sok-Yong's "The Guest"

Hwang Sok-Yong is one of Korea's most prominent authors today. Throughout his writing career, Hwang has championed common people, those normally excluded from the annals of history. In 1993, Hwang was imprisoned for taking a number of unauthorized trips to North Korea as a cultural ambassador between the North and the South. Ben Tran reviews Hwang's recently translated novel, "The Guest."
