Today the San Francisco Giants will announce plans to develop homes, shops and business space on the parking lot next to AT&T Park. According to the Chronicle, the project known as "Mission Rock" would cost $1.6 billion dollars.

Marin County supervisors say they need more time to consider a massive new filmmaking complex planned by director George Lucas. The Independent-Journal reports, officials delayed voting on the plan yesterday pending further study.
