California Joins Mortgage Settlement

Attorney General Kamala Harris announced Thursday that California will get almost half of a $26 billion nationwide settlement with the five largest mortgage lenders over their foreclosure practices.
The settlement could help the hundreds of thousands of Californians who have lost their homes and the millions who owe more on their homes than they're worth. But some critics say most of those who have suffered through the mortgage crisis won't get much relief from the settlement.
