Tech Giants Go Dark in Protest of Anti-Piracy Bills

On Wednesday, some of the Internet's most-visited sites will go dark. Wikipedia, Reddit, MoveOn and others will black out their sites as part of a protest of two bills currently in Congress that would allow the government to block websites with pirated material.
Online organizations say the bills would restrict free speech and make the cost of doing business online too high. American film, TV and music producers say the bills are needed to keep the entertainment industry in business.
