Occupy Protesters Block Gates, Say Truckers Not Hostile
At least two entrances to the Port of Oakland are closed this morning as "Occupy" protesters take part in a planned shutdown of all West Coast ports. One protester with the group blocking Port Berth 55-60 said he has not encountered hostility from truckers waiting to get on with their workdays.

Delay in Diamond Foods Earnings Due to Accounting Probe
The San Francisco-based company behind Emerald Nuts and Pop Secret popcorn is delaying filing its quarterly earnings, due to an ongoing probe into its accounting practices. This morning, Diamond Foods announced the delay, connected to advance payments to walnut growers. The controversy has sparked a number of class-action lawsuits, with more possibly to come.

Raiders, Niners, Sharks All Lose; College Hoops; Free Warriors Practice
The Raiders fell to second place in their division after being humbled by the undefeated Packers in Green Bay, 4616. The Niners lost to the Cardinals in Arizona, 21-19. San Francisco has already clinched its division. Hockey, the Sharks lost Saturday to the Blues in St Louis 1-0, Sunday to the Blackhawks in Chicago 3-2 in overtime. College hoops, Cal men beat Jackson State yesterday, 73-46. Cal women beat Santa Clara on Saturday, 75-58. San Jose State men lost to Cal Poly, 40-47. USF men beat Pacific, 79-69; women lost to Ohio 63-53. The Golden State Warriors signed a deal with center DeAndre Jordan, but have to wait three days to find out if his current team the LA Clippers will match the offer and hang on to Jordan. A Warriors fan favorite from last year, Jeremy Lin, was claimed off waivers by Houston. Golden State starts preseason play on Saturday and the regular season on Christmas Day. Their practice tonight is open to the public, with free admission and parking at the Oakland Arena.
