Gov. Brown Unveils Details of Pension Overhaul

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Under a pension reform proposal just unveiled by Governor Jerry Brown, new state workers would move to a hybrid system combining guaranteed benefits with a 401K-style plan. The governor's proposal would also raise the retirement age from 55 to 67. The plan would also require that employees -- new and old -- pay at least 50 percent of the annual cost of their pension benefits.

Union leaders are already lining up in opposition. Host Cy Musiker talks with Jon Ortiz who writes the State Worker blog for the Sacramento Bee.
