Women and the Economy Summit in San Francisco
Women and the Economy Summit in San Francisco
A powerhouse of women leaders, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, are in San Francisco this week to discuss ways to improve women's economic participation. Tomorrow morning, the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women will host a discussion on recommendations to make to improve gender equity in the workplace. The department has developed a toolkit that corporations can use to measure gender equality. It was adopted by the United Nations and dozens of Bay Area companies began piloting the tools last year.
