The San Francisco medical examiner has identified the man BART police shot and killed Sunday at the Civic Center station as Charles B. Hill. The medical examiner's office says he was 45 years old, and had no fixed address.
In the meantime, a witness account given to the Bay Citizen seems to contradict BART's initial claim that police were "confronted by an aggressive suspect." The witness reportedly said Hill was moving slowly toward the officers, and not running or lunging.
