Berkeley Strike Turns Violent ... BART Station Closures

Berkeley Strike Turns Violent
A strike involving nearly 500 workers at Pacific Steel Casting in Berkeley turned violent this afternoon. KQED's Peter Jon Shuler was at the scene, where paramedics have been tending to a pregnant woman who was struck in the belly by a police baton.

Power Outages Close Two Berkeley BART Stations

He says it's not clear what caused the outages, but PG&E crews are working to restore power to the stations and the surrounding communities.
