State Regulators Prepare to Punish PG&E
State utility regulators have begun preparing a formal punishment for PG&E as part of the investigation into the San Bruno gas fire. The Public Utilities Commission is adding an item to next week's meeting agenda, giving the company one more chance to avoid hefty penalties.
Peet's Coffee Yet to Comment on Starbucks Buyout Rumors
Peet's Coffee, based in Emeryville, has yet to comment on rumors that Starbucks could buy it out. Peet's got into the gourmet coffee business back in the 1960s. As Caitlin Esch reports, some fans of the local brand are a bit worried about what the future holds.
