Sacramento Homeless Encampment ... Bay Area at the Grammys

Deadline Arrives for Sacramento Homeless to Vacate Encampments
Today is the deadline for homeless people near downtown Sacramento to leave encampments along the American River Parkway. It's the latest chapter in a battle to find housing in a city with 1,200 homeless, and 200 shelter beds.

Bay Area Ties to the Grammys
At least two Grammy Award winners have ties to the Bay Area. Neil Young won his first Grammy for music last night for Best Rock Song, for his single "Angry World." Young lives in La Honda and is active in local philanthropy. And the Berkeley Repertory Theatre's musical "American Idiot" won the Grammy for Best Musical Show Album.
